Introduction
The following is a rhetorical/visual analysis of the website Adidas. We picked this website because everyone in my group all has shopped and owned a pair of adidas shoes or attire. Adidas was first founded in Germany by Adolf-Adi-Dassler and his brother Rudolf Dassler. In 1920, the two brothers, Adolf-Adi-Dassler and Rudolf Dassler set up a small shoe making business located in Germany. Within that time the two brothers got into a fighter and Adolf Dassler, who was the creator of Adidas, moved across the river and opened his own shop. Adidas is a well-known website for their shoes with phenomenal features. As you enter the website right away there are great displays of shoes and clothing. Derek Rose, who is an NBA star player, also appears on the front page which may be very appealing to many. Adidas has something for everybody and it also lets you create your own shoes if you wanted too.
Logos
The Adidas website is a very well present website. Within the website there are many pictures of each shoe and clothing expressing what each can do. Adidas is well-known for their shoes. We know this because the author's main purpose of this store was to sell shoes. The Adidas website also expresses that by advertising a lot about their shoes. Adidas is also connected to reebok and Taylor Made by their shoes. This lets the audience know that they are used widely around the world
Pathos
The author puts a lot of emotion within the website to show how effective the shoes can be. For one, using the NBA star Derek Rose for the front paper to show great emotion on basketball shoes, which also attracts you to look more in to the shoes. The website has great visual effects and color on the page to give off an attractive appeal to it, drawing the audience more into the website. The website also has great effects on other types of shoes, showing what they can do and why you should buy them. The website also has great color and visual affects not only their shoes but also their clothing and accessories. This is also a great attraction to the public.
Ethos
The adidas website shows you that they do have the right and policy to sell shoes. Which is a plus that they can be trusted. The website also shoes some kind of sponsorship, again by putting a NBA star in the front page to shoe that they sponsor top of the line players. This also lets us know they they can be trusted because sponsoring cost money, and this helps us realize that the author is using a lot of money to advertise their website.
Summary
After fully reviewing the website i conclude that the Adidas website is a well-rounded website, giving off great expressions and details about their products. I also conclude that this website can be trusted. The websites purpose was well thought out on the effectiveness on emphasizing there products. After analyzing the website my opinion about the website only got stronger by making me feel that I can actually trust the website.
